Additional Information:
This sousaphone is being sold as is in non playing condition.  It has a couple of places where there looks to be some small breaks in the metal and the lead pipe will need repair in order to be functional again.  All of the bell tightening screws are present.  This is a monster bore sousaphone.  We believe that it is a Buescher but we could not find any identifying markers such as an engraving on the bell to confirm this.  This is our best estimate.  Overall the instrument is still in good shape and has some bumps and bruises/lacquer wear from player wear over the years.  Once you get the repairs made and the instrument is back up in playing condition it should have a nice huge sound with that big open bore!

Lead Pipe Condition:
Heavy general wear (substantial surface scratches and wear with medium-large dents and dings and/or
damage) It is missing its top section that includes the tightening bit for the gooseneck and there is some good dents in it that when repaired will likely need patches from broken metal (not included see pics).

There may be some broken metal on the top end of the third valve tuning slide (where it was dented in) and there is some broken metal on the lead pipe.

If you are not completely satisfied with your Musical Instrument City purchase, please contact us.  If you would like to return your purchase, for any reason, you have 30 days from the date of purchase to return it with the original box and packing material with the following refund restrictions:

NON REFUNDABLE
as of November 1st, 2019 as per PayPal’s new Policy.  (So your refund after inspection will be: Your original purchase price minus the PayPal Non-refundable Fee).

Incomplete Return:
The item will be inspected upon return and if any original parts or pieces are missing you will be contacted to send the missing items back.  If you are unable to return the missing item/part, you forfeit the refund.  All partial items that have been returned will also be forfeited and will be the property of Musical Instrument City.

Damage during Outbound Shipping:
In the unfortunate chance your item is damaged, the following procedure must be followed exactly in order to process a refund. Failure to comply with the following procedures constitutes a violation of the return policy and therefore a refund will not be given. Please contact us immediately. Save everything, including the box, packing materials, and shipping label. Without the original box and packing materials, a claim cannot be made, and a refund will not be issued. Take a full set of pictures so the damage can be assessed. Don’t send anything back yet until we contact our insurance company.  We will tell you when you may ship the item back.  Please see instructions for return shipping below. If it is determined that the item was damaged in shipping, we will send you a return shipping label via eBay Messages.  Refunds will not be issued for merchandise, which has been damaged while in your possession.

Damage during Return Shipping:
The item will be inspected upon return and if the item is damaged during return shipping, we will contact you so you can file an insurance claim.  Because you are the shipper, we cannot initiate a claim.  Depending upon how much damage was sustained you may only get a partial refund or no refund due to the damage.

Be sure all original parts of the item purchased are included before you return it.

In order to receive a refund our policy requires you to put insurance on the item for its return shipping.

Please use the original packing material and box.  Please use original packing material inside the case around the item.  Also use the original packing material around the case in the box to protect the item from shipping damage. If your item does not have a case, please use all packing material that the item came with to protect the item from shipping damage.

Uninsured packages or items shipped “COD” or “Shipping Due” will be refused and a refund will not be issued.

Once the item is received, we will conduct a physical inspection. This inspection will determine your eligibility for a refund.
